Blood pressure comes up constantly in tinnitus discussions, and the relationship is real — but it's more specific than "high blood pressure causes tinnitus" suggests, and understanding the distinction actually matters for what to do about it.

The clearest connection: pulsatile tinnitus

The strongest, most direct link between blood pressure and tinnitus is with pulsatile tinnitus — the type that rises and falls in rhythm with your heartbeat (covered in more detail).
